Matthew Ashton (1985, Sydney) is an architect, writer, walker, and educator based in Stockholm. He holds a PhD from RMIT University, Melbourne (2025). His research investigates the large-scale environmental and territorial consequences of architecture, with a focus on landscapes of extraction, and explores walking as an artistic research practice.
